Visiting Bahamians in Washington call on Ambassador Newry

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Bahamians Vernice Knowles and her daughter Chazelle Diggiss, who are visiting Washington, D.C., paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Eugene Newry, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Bahamas Embassy, 2220 Massachusetts Ave., N.W. Ms. Knowles is a former nurse at the Princess Margaret Hospital, where Dr. Newry, a neurosurgeon, once practiced. She is now a nurse at Prince Edward Hospital in Bermuda. Ms. Diggiss studied law in England, specializing in human rights. Pictured from left are: Deputy Chief of Mission Chet Neymour, Ms. Diggiss, Ms. Knowles and Dr. Newry.
