Headlining this year’s event is NBA legend and successful businessman
Earvin “Magic” Johnson, recording and marketing executive Steve
Stoute and economist Mike Bryan of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Earvin “Magic” Johnson

Steve Stoute

Steve Stoute is considered
an advertising genius and is one of the top-ranked black executives
in the music business. He has ushered a number of talented artists
to stardom. In 1990 Stoute was a manager for bands and quickly
moved up in the music industry becoming involved with TrackMasters –
a production team that helped craft hits for Will Smith, LL Cool J,
Mary J. Blige, and Mariah Carey. Additionally, he has used his
marketing and music expertise to consult on brand-imaging for major
Fortune 500 companies. His company Translation LLC has matched
pop-star spokespersons with corporations that want to promote their
brands. Stoute has paired Gwen Stefani with Hewlett-Packard, Justin
Timberlake with McDonald’s, Beyoncé Knowles with Tommy Hilfiger,
and Jay-Z with Reebok.
As the world struggles to
understand
how the financial crisis of 2008 evolved into the worst recession since
the Great Depression, Federal Reserve Bank monetary policy expert Mike
Bryan will discuss how this phenomenon started, why it has had such
a tremendous impact on the United States and the world and when and
how it is expected to end. Mr. Bryan will explain the financial
