In closing the celebration of life, Myles Munroe Jr. came to the stage with his sister
Charisa,
accompanied by close family members. Munroe expressed gratitude from
the Munroe and Lockhart families to all those that offered condolences, traveled from afar,
and all those that spoke and participated in the memorial service.
"Their
legacy will never die as long as I have breath in my lungs and that we
all choose to accept this mandate that we have been commissioned to
carry on," said Myles Jr. "I miss my parents so much. My heart is
truly broken. I now know what a broken heart is. But there is peace...
In leaving a good strong legacy you must reproduce yourself... it feels
like the world has stopped moving... that my life is on pause. It's
frozen. A part of me does not even want to move forward. But I know I
must. My heart and my mind is open and receptive to this call in my life
and to that of my family."
With his sister by his side he continued, "To my
parents... Mommy, your baby boy ... Daddy, your beloved son loves and
misses you dearly.. Charisa and I will continue to remain strong in our
faith and I know that one day God will reveal himself."
A state-recognized funeral service will be held on Thursday,
December 4, 2014, at
11am at the Diplomat Center, Carmichael Road in Nassau.
