Politics & Religion

Politics and Religion are undoubtedly the right and left hand of the Devil; these are the hands that have its firm grip on the Bahamian society. The deceitful workings of these hands are so subtle in that it has rendered many of today’s prominent church leaders powerless.

As the enemy / Satan unleashes his violent assault upon the Bahamas in killing off (murdering) and incarcerating the male seed.  The church, which is supposed to be God’s representative in the earth, stands powerless against this and many other assaults by the enemy; as its leaders have all compromised in one way or another and has given into the workings of the right and left hand of the devil; Politics & Religion.

As the Bahamas goes through its politics season; the low / very low level of which our political leaders have stooped to win a General Election speaks great volumes as to where we are as a nation / people.

We’re living in a day and time where access to the world and world affairs are at our finger tips via the Internet.   Yet, the very same swinging tactics used by politicians some twenty years ago are being effectively used by today’s politicians (which is the giving of quick hand-outs to the grassroots and using their business partners / The Religious Leaders to help advance their political agenda).

Politically speaking; it’s with great anticipation that the naïve grassroots awaits the General Election season, as this is the time when many of them gets see their various members of parliaments face to face for a long time since the previous election.  These meetings are now being called “Grill & Chill” or “See you at the Rally” in any event or in most cases these gatherings are open with a word of prayer by a Religious Leader or some other Religious Minded person; after which the alcohol beverages, the partying music and the character assassination of others begins to flow.  This is a classic case of politics and religion at work.

How is it that with all of the so-called anointing and revelation which supposed to be flowing within today’s church; the religious leaders have yet to understand the true dynamic of the Church and State concept?    It’s just amazing to hear so-called anointed, Holy Spirit led men and women give their rational of why they should get into politics.

One of the enemy’s most strategic moves to rendering the church (worldwide) powerless, and this move is methodically carried out by governments and special interest groups / companies that provides churches with lands to build their houses of worship, give tax breaks and financial funding for programs.

Due to this compromising actions / behaviors of today’s religious leaders the church can’t speak with an authoritative, definitive voice especially on matters of national interest that’s contrary to God’s laws.  It is no secret that there are P.L.P. and F.N.M. churches (Bishops, Doctors, Apostles, Pastors, etc), throughout the length and breadth of the Bahamas.

It is most dishearten to attend a church and hear a politically charged / motivated message; as not everybody that attends church is a political pundit, a P.L.P. an F.N.M. or a D.N.A.  There are some that attends church who are truly hurting both spiritually and naturally; and they’re sincerely seeking a word from the Lord. But to the contrary, and despite the fact that the religious leaders would take his or her text from the bible; the politics that embedded in the message make the word of God none effective to the hearts and minds of those that’s genuinely seeking a word from the Lord.

There’s a BIG DIFFERENCE between Politics and Religion verses that of Church and State; it’s the lack of spiritually discerning this difference that has given way to the enemy’s stronghold upon today’s church. This lack of spiritual discernment among the today’s church leaders of whom the politician takes advice also makes it difficult for Government to accurately hear a sure word from the lord.  Religious leaders and false prophets will always try to shut down or despise a genuine prophet / a true man of God.

Here’s a case where a religious, false prophet operating with a lying spirit that gives advice to the King, meets and assaults a true prophet of God.
2Chron.2: 23.   Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah walked up to Micaiah and slapped him across the face. "When did the Spirit of the LORD leave me to speak to you?" he demanded.
:24.   And Micaiah replied, "You will find out soon enough, when you find yourself hiding in some secret room!"
:25.   King Ahab of Israel then ordered, "Arrest Micaiah and take him back to Amon, the governor of the city, and to my son Joash.
:26.   Give them this order from the king: 'Put this man in prison, and feed him nothing but bread and water until I return safely from the battle!'"
:27.   But Micaiah replied, "If you return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me!" Then he added to those standing around, "Take note of what I have said."

The Bahamas is at a very critical juncture in its history and it’s most unfortunate that the influential voices from the church perspective have all given to religion; and that of chasing after fame and fortune.   If there’s ever a time that Governments needs to hear from God that time is now.  But, because of God’s love for his people; he’s bypassing those glory seeking, influential voices (Religious Bishops, Doctors, Prophets, Pastors,) and is rising up no named faithful sons and daughters that will boldly and uncompromisingly declare his unadulterated word to Governments as they rule the land and enact laws that will govern the earthly affairs of his people.
