Thousands of Leaders, No Servants

The obstacle or hindrance that's facing the Bahamas today is that; we've got hundreds / thousands of so-called leaders but no servants.

Governments (FNM & PLP) come and go on the premise that they're there to serve the people, but after being elected the words service too and servant of the people are immediately erased from the politicians vocabulary.

The champion of servanthood should by far and large be those that name the name of Christ; but sad to say that's not the case. For the thousands of churches here in the Bahamas are are filled with religious leaders (Bishops, Doctors, Apostle, etc;) who diligently look forward to being honored and served by their followers, rather than being servants.

Watch this! How many churches do we see year after year hosting some form of leadership conference or seminars yet at the end of the day; the nation is still crying out for the manifestation of leaders in every sector of our society?

What seems to be the problem?

Here's our problem: We're doing an excellent job in talking about leadership, but totally disregard the fact that servanthood is the foundation of which leadership is built. It's through erroneous religious teachings and stinking thinking that the church today is filled with religious leaders who are busy promoting their own agends and competing against each another, rather than being servants. This competition is so evidently clear that even Blind Blake would have seen it had he still being alive.

Religion has the ability and power to impede the comprehension of its leaders who would seek to be great. Ignorantly these so-called (Anointed men of God / Religious Leaders) haven't yet got the revelation that greatness comes through servanthood. Here's what Yeshuwa said “Matt.23:11. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”

I'm eager to pounce on the politicans for their short comings and lack of vision to govern this nation much better than they're now doing. Then again as a Pastor, I'm constantly reminded by the Holy Spirit to first take the beam out of our eye (The Church's) then I would be able to see clearly to help the politicians with the specks in their eyes.

This level of ignorance in the body of Christ as it relates to servanthood will forever hinder the Bahamas from seeing the quality of leadership that it's longing for. The stability of this nation and the salvaging of our families will no doubt come via the church of which God is exposing and ridding of its “All for me” religious leadership; as He's raising up and installing servant-leaders in His church.

Here's what the bible says, about the world's greatest leader; Yeshuwa Messiah: Phil.2: 7. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant , and was made in the likeness of men:

Here's what Yeshuwa said:

NLT:

Matt.20: 28. For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many."

For some strange reason religious leaders are of the view that the criteria for leadership is based upon the size of church membership, the type vehicle one drives, the home he / she lives in and their bank accounts; absolutely nothing could be further from the truth.

The Bahamas is at a critical point in its existence and because Yahweh so loves this nation He will not allow today's distorted view of leadership ruin His plans and purposes for this nation. Rom.8:19. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Even now as the world eagerly waits for the manifestation of these true sons of ' Elyown, El-yone' the most high God, He's raising up sons and daughters whom He had hidden in the cleft of the rock for such a time as this. These sons and daughters will have the heart of a servant and willingly embrace every opportunity to unconditionally serve God's people; and not follow the path of today's religious leaders in seeking fame and fortune.

As it relates to church leadership and servanthood let's take a quick look at another great man of God and his approach to the same.

Here's apostle Paul who wrote over two / thirds of The New Testament. If there was one thing that Paul understood, it was his role of servanthood. Watch how Paul first identifies himself in the scripture below; not as the “Anointed Apostle who spends quality time with God” No, but first as a servent, who was called to be an apostle.

Rom 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

1Corinth.9:19. For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

Gal.1:10. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Titus 1:1. Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

This is the kind of article and message that will upset leadership of every sector that loves to be served rather than being a servant unto all. But do I care? No sir, not one bit; for our children's children future is at stake and I've got no time to play church or politics with the country's powers that be (Political and Religious Leaders) enough is enough; since you don't know how to serve (be a servant ) we the sons and daughters of God are gonna show you as He moves you out of the way.
