RBPF Nassau: Two Overnight Shooting Incidents

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving two separate shooting incidents that have left two men detained in hospital overnight.

In the first incident, shortly before 7:00pm on Thursday 15th May 2014, police received a report of a shooting at Armbrister Street, Fox Hill. Police arrived on the scene and met a 31 – year old man of Fox Hill Road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 2:00am on Friday 16th May 2014, police received a report of a shooting at Penny Saving Bank Lane off Claridge Road. Police arrived on the scene and met a 44 – year old man of Penny Saving Bank Lane, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to hospital where he is detained in critical condition.

Preliminary reports, indicates that shortly before 2:00am, three men armed with firearms approached the victim in front of his residence. The victim managed to run away from the men, who pursued him and shot him multiple times to the body. The men made good their escape in in a silver Honda vehicle.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding these two shooting incidents, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
