RBPF Nassau: Homicide at Kings Barr - 2 Friday night armed robberies

Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are requesting the public’s help in solving a shooting incident that has left one man dead on Friday 16th May 2014. 

According to reports, shortly before 11:00pm, a man was at Kings Barr located on Washington Street and Robinson Road, when a man armed with a handgun walked in and shot him to the body. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.  

Investigations are ongoing.  

POLICE are requesting the public’s assistance in solving two armed robberies that occurred on Friday 16th May 2014.  

In the first incident, shortly after 12:00pm, a man armed with a handgun robbed a local business establishment on Boyd Road of a small amount of cash before fleeing on a bicycle.

 In the second incident, shortly after 5:00pm, two men armed with a handgun robbed a local business establishment on Kemp Road of a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.  

Investigations are ongoing in both incidents.

POLICE are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding these two armed robberies and homicide, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)

TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
