Nassau, Bahamas - The efforts of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force resulted in the removal of an illegal firearm from the Street of New Providence on Friday 27TH June 2020.
In the first incident, shortly before 10:00am. Officers from the Operations Unit acting on information proceeded to the junction of West Street and Dorsette Alley, where they conducted a search of a bushy area and recovered a .40 Glock 27 pistol with (5) unfired round of ammunition. No arrest was made during this incident.
In the second incident, according to reports, shortly after 9:00am officers from the Operations Unit while armed with a search warrant went to a residence on Kiki Street. While there they conducted a search, officer recovered a black and brown Mac 10 SMG (BB gun). Three males were arrested during this incident and are assisting the police with the investigation.
In the third incident, according to reports, shortly before 7:00pm, officers from the Operations Unit acting on information went to the public rest room on Sunshine Park where they recovered a black handle Austria Glock .40 pistol with (1) .40 unfired round of ammunition. No arrest was made during this incident.
