The Bahamas Weekly is pleased to present this unedited streaming video of the remarks by the Right Hon. Prime Minister, Hubert A. Ingraham at the Port Group Limited Announcement of Ross University Bahamas Campus, Freeport.
This video provides a bird's eye view into the challenges faced along the way, the economic growth potential for Grand Bahama island and the proposed different phases of the Ross University plan.
The Prime Minister praises the Port Authority "for its tenacity in bringing this venture to fruition", and he also says to the University that "it was not easy to get the government bureaucracy to change its mindset about not having offshore medical centers in The Bahamas."
Additionally, The Prime Minister alludes to the present situation at the Grand Bahama Port Authority as he praises the appointment of Eric Christensen as the new chairman of one of the Port Group Companies stating: "Eric Christensen is someone with whom I and my Government are happy to do, and to continue to do, business, if he is allowed to do business with us..."
