Nassau, Bahamas - A Back to School Message from Junior Achievement (JA) Bahamas:

It’s that time of year again, when our bright-eyed and bushy-tailed students head back to the classrooms for primary and secondary learning. A time when teachers are bubbling over with excitement with new lesson plans and expectations. A time when parents and guardians are eager as they encourage their children to maximize their full potential and explore all possibilities. For all of us, back to school is an opportunity for everyone to get involved and invest in the education and advancement of our students nationwide. The back to school season also calls to action the youth leaders, after school program coordinators and volunteers who provide activities and programs that bridge the gap between education and real life experiences.

Junior Achievement Bahamas has answered this call to action for over 35 years and is well prepared for the challenge this year. With the aim of impacting 20,000 young Bahamians, we are well prepared to provide the fundamental training of work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship. These principles we believe will truly mold our nation’s economic and social development and positively impact the lives of thousands each year. In our efforts, we hope to exemplify this year’s theme, ‘Youth Innovation: Leading the Way,” through our comprehensive program offering and new events. I urge many who have the talents, time and/or financial contribution to get involved and be the support our students need to be an achiever in every area of their life.

On behalf of Junior Achievement Bahamas I wish all students, achievers, teachers, faculty, parents and guardians a safe, productive and innovative year.
