Freeport, Grand Bahama - The Red Rose Ball Committee and sponsor A Sure Win left no stones unturned in hosting yet another ALL WHITE AFFAIR on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at the Le Chateau on the Green (Formally the old Water World), In keeping with our focus of “PREVENTION NOW” the ALL White Affair event was to raise Awareness and much needed funding to assist in the completion of a Health Education Resource Center presently under construction in the Pioneers Loop area in Grand Bahama.

The building will be used for HIV/AIDS Education, Counseling and Workshops etc, this project has been long in the making and we are proud as volunteers that we have come thus far with the support of Business in Nassau like ‘A Sure Win” and the Grand Bahama community at large supporting our fundraising efforts each year.

The Evening opened with the Melodious sounds of the 2 left feet live Band while Champagne and finger foods being served butler pass to our guest.

The lawn of the Le Chateau was beautifully decorated with All White Décor including individual Cabanas with glistening lit Chandeliers for our sponsor’s and Guest of Honor, the décor really set the mood for the event.

We were very pleased to play host to our Guest of honor and her supporting guest entourage who came in full force show their support for the cause HIV/AIDS, Nassau certainly did not let us down. All of our guests were so warmly greeted by our Guest of Honor Mrs. Leslia Miller-Brice as she made her entrance at the event; they were moved by her warm and friendly personality as she moved throughout the crowd posing for candid snapshots with attendees.

As we move into the night and the Entertainment began with a solo Dance number performed by the talented Dashenell Dixon, which really got the crowd started, as they continued and cheered on the models from Las Guapas Chicas Mobile Beauties strutting across the White Carpet showcasing summer Fashion line at its best in upscale chic style.

Then it was onto Papa Smurf bringing the down the house with his Bahamian ting in songs which he is so passionate about, he had the crowd going and well entertained.

Precisely at 10:30 pm it was time for the Flow of “MOET ICE” to all guests in attendance sponsored by Bristol Wines and Spirits, cooling the taste buds of attendees.

The in-house raffle did not go unnoticed, many wonderful raffle prizes were up for grabs on the evening, and yes our Nassau, guests won most of the prizes.

It was then time to be focused on the reason for the event as Mrs. Leslia Miller-Brice took to the stage and brought the Keynote address, she noted that she was honored to have been chosen to be an Ambassador for HIV/AIDS Education as she sets the precedent for others the follow by supporting such a worthy cause, and how grateful she was that her husband and close friends were able to travel to Freeport to support her in this venture. We were even more grateful for the Donation of $5,000.00 from A Sure Win, and Proprietor, Mr. Leander Brice Nassau, as a part sponsor to the event along with Le Chateau on the Green. We would like to also recognize Polymers International, BTC and P&W Global Mission for their Partnership in this cause.

This ALL WHITE AFFAIR will help the committee to garner more financial assistance for AIDS Education in our community and the completion of the Health Education Resource Center, a clarion plea is being sent to our partners, supporters, the wider community of Grand Bahama and our United States committed friends to continue to support our efforts in this venture as we aim to save a generation through educating them of the dangers of this dreaded disease HIV/AIDS.

While we aim to ensure that all attendees enjoyed themselves and have a good time, it will never be absent from our minds the importance and purpose of the event while we support a worthy cause and at the same time have fun doing it. We are always excited about this event as it also serves as a teaser to our Annual Red Rose Ball to be held on November 1st, 2014.

The RRB Committee wishes to thank all supporters and note that through your presence on the evening and your kind donations you will have generously contributed to this global initiative. THANK YOU! These contributions will sustain the committee that informs and educate our communities about HIV/AIDS.

Again, we thank all of you who have been faithful supporters. We invite you to continue to assist in this great and worthy cause. Please help us to spread the word, encourage others to participate and generate excitement for our next event slated for November 1, 2014 (Our Annual Gala Black Tie Event) we depend on you for its future success. We thank you for your continued support.
