PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos - Nesly Jean scored two goals and the Bahamas defeated host Turks and Caicos Islands 4-0 in the first leg of their World Cup qualifying series on Saturday.

The visitors maintained firm control from the opening whistle, with Jean netting his first in the 32nd minute and Cameron Hepple converting a penalty three minutes later.

Jean completed his brace at the hour mark, while Jackner Louis completed the rout two minutes into second-half stoppage time.

The Bahamas will take four away goals home with them for the return leg next Saturday in Nassau.
