Another exciting week in the world of Bahamian Tennis as our 4-member Fed Cup Team of Iesha Shepherd, Gabriela Donaldson,  Sierra Donaldson, and Lauryn Daxon compete in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

The tournament starts tomorrow February 1  2016 where The Bahamas plays Guatemala at 10:00am. Other participating nations are: Barbados, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela. Age requirement for this event is 14 and over. The  team consists of the top four finishers at the Open Nationals held in December 2015.

This group of budding stars are accepting the challenge and hope to borrow some notes from former Fed Cup team winners Larikah Russell, Simone Pratt, Kerrie Cartwright and Danielle Thompson who captured the win (Americas Zone II) in 2013 in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.

These tenacious players are set to put their best efforts forward as they represent The Bahamas on the international stage.  The team is captained by Mr. Ricardo Demeritte seen center in photo.
