Bahamas' Joanna Evans claims her 2nd silver in Veracruz

VERACRUZ, Mexico - Bahamas swim team continues to excel in Mexico at the
Central American and Caribbean Games’ (CAC) with all the medals coming from two female swimming athletes, Arianna Vanderpool Wallace (3 Golds) and Joanna Evans now with 2 Silver medals.

A new national record was set last night in Veracruz by Evans who came second with 8:39:61 in the women's 800m freestyle. Adreina Pinto of Venezuela claimed gold, with Mexico's Natalia Jaspeado with bronze.

The Bahamas is in 8th place overall in the medal standings.
