Freeport,
Bahamas - Simone Lowe of Nassau, Bahamas won the the Conchman Triathlon
held November 6th at Taino Beach. With potential threats of poor
weather from Hurricane Tomas the morning skies were clear and the seas
calm providing picturesque views of the ocean. The temperature was in the 70s. Winds picked up as the race
progressed into the cycling and running portion.
Beside the many Bahamian participants, there were athletes from the UK, USA, and Canada.
Second overall was Lee Farmer of The Bahamas, and coming third overall was Sean Farrington also of The Bahamas.
Taking the women's first place was American Linda Fijol.
The Ironkids is now underway and results will be posted soon.
New to the Conchman
was a tent setup for health and fitness checks provided by Conchman
sponsor, Ross University, who had at least a handful of their staff or
students participating in the race.
This was the 24th annual Conchman and it is comprised of a 1K Swim, 25K Bike and a 5K Run
