Bahamian filmmaker releases "Atlas Calling" as an urgent call to protect the ocean -

Award winning Bahamian filmmaker and underwater photographer
Eddy Raphael has released his next short film based on the ocean, called ATLAS CALLING.
Featured in the film is Rosie Poirier, a Canadian student who came to The Bahamas to help with the
Young Marine Explorers (YME) and to help educate young Bahamians about ocean conservation.
"I helped to make this film to convey an urgent message, that our oceans sustain
all human life," said Rosie, "...giving the planet more than half of its oxygen, it gives us a climate
we can live in, beauty, inspiration, new medicines, recreation and food, and it
needs our help..."

This week we head to the western end of New Providence Island in The
Bahamas to take in the sites and smells of the
Field to Fork Community
Farm. A farm that is starting an organic trend here in the country with
food that comes directly from our soil and onto your plate. Dre speaks
to Selima Hauber of
Field to Fork and takes you to the farmer's market
on Wednesdays and Saturday in May and June.
Dre
also speaks with
Brer Bookie Meat Co, which sells homemade, organic
sausages with chicken, pork, beef and lamb. It has zero nitrates and
zero hormones.

NEW SEASON IS HERE!
Our first installment of
Amor Alimentos, was held at
the 1 ER CRU Courtyard at Bristol Wines and Spirits on Valentine’s Day.
Foodie lovers from all over the New Providence island were treated to beautiful decor,
sweet music by DJ Pressure and the Tingum Dem Band, an international
cheese board and live carving station and food that had the guests
cheering.
Amor Alimentos' private chef, Chef Wayne Moncur whipped up a
tapas style tasting menu that left tongues wagging and gave attendees,
“major food-gasms." WATCH NOW!

Mouth Full did some island hopping recently and we are so excited and
proud to deliver another island inspired episode to you! The last time
we featured one of our Family Islands was in season two where we made
Governor’s Harbour our home for the day and their restaurants our
personal kitchens!" This time we touched down on Cat Island and feasted

Miami surveys damage in the Bahamas after Hurricane Joaquin passed
through the Caribbean Sea. Bahamian government officials flew aboard the
HC-144 aircraft to document and survey flood and wind damage to

Everywhere Dre travels she tries the food. On a recent trip
to Panama, she and her handy cell phone camera were able to capture a
taste experience at a local eatery called Manolo Caracol. Check out the adventure in taste in
this new episode where you will hear from Chef Manuel Madueno who speaks about the local ingredients in his cooking.
Dre
experienced an 8-course menu at Manolo Caracol starting with a unique
bone marrow and caramelized onions. Dre also tasted cabbage wrapped in
sea bass, and for dessert she tasted coconut and honey bread pudding in a sweet cream corn...

truck in the Montague Area, Conchie Joe's. She samples the full menu of
lunchtime favorites offered by the staff and dives deeper into the ever
growing food truck culture.
Dre talks with owner,
Jonathan who says they cater to the work-day lunch crowd. Lobster roll
is one of their customer's favourite items on the menu. Conchie Joe's
is located at Montagu and opens around 11am and is open through to 3pm,
Monday to Friday...

Perry Gladstone Christie, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas
