Nassau, Bahamas - Tourism Today provide video coverage of the National State Gift Auction which took place at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort on August 13th. Each of hte 85 contestants provided a gift from their country to be auctioned off to benefit the Bahamas AIDS Foundation, of which $40,000 was raised that evening.
The Bahamas gift was a tea set from Cultureware depicting Junkanoo and the sea grape plant, with cowbell tea cups and a sea grape leaf saucers.
The gift from the various countries was either Cultural specific, or had sentimental value.
